Pre-Wax Guidelines
New to waxing? We recommend scheduling your first appointment 5–6 weeks before any special event or vacation. If your skin responds well, book your next wax 2–3 days before the occasion.
Hair should be at least 1/4 inch long—similar to the length of your lashes—for best results. If it’s too long your esthetician can trim it if needed.
For body or Brazilian waxing, gently exfoliate the area daily in the days leading up to your appointment. Use a dry brush or loofah, moving against the direction of hair growth to help lift any dead skin. Exfoliated skin means faster service, less irritation, and less hair breakage.
Avoid spray tans before and after waxing. It’s best to wait a few days to prevent irritation or breakouts.
Avoid face waxing 7–10 days before and after a chemical peel, microdermabrasion, or advanced facial treatments.
I’m pregnant, is it OK to get a bikini or a Brazilian wax?
Congratulations! Yes, you absolutely can wax during pregnancy! We understand that grooming can become challenging as your belly grows. We recommend starting monthly waxing sessions at least four months before your due date to achieve the best results and minimize skin irritation. Many of our clients schedule their waxing appointments just days before delivery.
I just started my period and I have an appointment scheduled. Do I need to reschedule?
You can still wax during your menstrual cycle and we are completely comfortable providing your Bikini or Brazilian waxing service! It's a common occurrence, so there's no need to cancel your appointment or feel uncomfortable in any way. We simply request that you use a tampon or menstrual cup during your waxing session. However, if you're experiencing severe cramps and would prefer to reschedule, we completely understand—just let us know as soon as possible.(Please note: If you tend to experience intense cramps, we suggest timing your waxing appointments accordingly to avoid our last-minute cancellations and fees).
