Waxing services using hard wax

Brazilian Wax (V/P)

Brazilian waxing is one of the most requested services—and it deserves expert care. I specialize in advanced waxing techniques that minimize discomfort and deliver smooth, long-lasting results for all clients.

First time? No need to feel nervous. You’re welcome to reach out with any questions or schedule a quick phone consultation before booking.

What is a Brazilian wax?

A Brazilian wax removes all pubic hair and can be fully customized based on your personal preference. With regular sessions, you’ll notice smoother skin, finer regrowth, and improved comfort each time. While the first wax may feel a bit uncomfortable, the second and third are always easier with better results.

About anatomy-based services:

At Wax Haus & Skin, Brazilian waxing services are categorized by anatomy rather than gender:

  • Brazilian (V) — for clients with vulva anatomy

  • Brazilian (P) — for clients with penis anatomy

The “P” service requires additional time and advanced training due to differences in anatomy, skin sensitivity, and hair growth patterns. Not all estheticians are qualified to perform this service, which is why it is priced accordingly based on time and technical expertise—not gender.

Each session includes customized aftercare recommendations to help you maintain smooth, healthy skin with less irritation and long-term results. My goal is to provide a comfortable, thorough, and professional waxing experience for every client.

A phone consultation is required for first-time clients to our location to discuss potential skin reactions, especially for Brazilian, back and chest waxing.

Benefits

  • Cleaner feel & improved hygiene

  • Boosted confidence & smoother skin

  • Hair grows back finer, lighter & sparser

Common Waxing Questions And Guidelines

pre-waxing tips

We recommend scheduling your first waxing appointment about 5–6 weeks before any vacation or special occasion. This allows your skin time to adjust and gives you the opportunity for a follow-up appointment if needed. Once you know how your skin responds, you can safely schedule your next wax 2–3 days before your trip or event for the smoothest results.

This recommendation applies to all waxing services — including facial, body, and Brazilian waxing — to help your skin look and feel its best before any special occasion.

Let your hair grow to at least ¼ inch (about the length of lashes) for best results. Your esthetician can trim if needed. Gently exfoliate the area a few days before your appointment to reduce irritation and help prevent hair breakage.

Arrive fresh and clean, wear comfortable clothing, and skip the gym, jacuzzi, or any friction-heavy activities immediately after waxing, including being intimate. For added comfort, you may take ibuprofen an hour beforehand (consult your doctor first) and avoid alcohol or caffeine.

You’ll receive personalized aftercare instructions, and we offer professional products specifically designed to prevent irritation, ingrown hairs, and breakouts.

For optimal results, we recommend maintaining a regular waxing schedule every 4 weeks, especially if you’re new to waxing.

Does it hurt?

Some discomfort is normal, but the anticipation is often the worst part. Our advanced techniques minimize pain, and we prioritize making you feel comfortable and relaxed. Once you've experienced your first wax, it gets easier! Pain depends more on the thickness of your hair roots than the amount of hair. The quality of wax and your esthetician’s experience also play a big role. At Wax Haus and Skin, you're in expert hands! Regular waxing weakens hair, and the results are definitely worth it!

Clients often say, "That was way better than I expected!"—and we love hearing those reactions!

I’m shy and nervous!

It’s completely okay to feel nervous or shy before your first wax—we get it! But know this: you’re in expert hands. We do this every day and prioritize your comfort from start to finish. Most clients feel much more relaxed once the session begins—and even more so by their second visit when discomfort and irritation are noticeably reduced.

Will i be sore after my first wax?

Some redness, sensitivity, or small bumps are normal after your first wax—depending on your skin type and hair texture. We’ll apply calming products immediately after your service and send you home with detailed aftercare instructions and specific product recommendations to reduce irritation and support the healing process. Your comfort and skin health are always a priority!

Will waxing make me breakout?

Waxing can cause mild breakouts, especially if you have thick hair roots. When hair is removed, it triggers the body’s immune system, which can cause temporary redness or hives. This is normal and usually subsides within a few hours. Waxing creates small openings in hair follicles, which can lead to bacterial reactions like whiteheads. To avoid this, it’s important to keep the skin clean, cool, and dry after your session.

How can I prevent ingrown hairs?

At Wax Haus and Skin, we prioritize your experience, results, and education. By following our aftercare instructions, you can prevent ingrown hairs and irritation. After any body wax, it’s important to keep up with exfoliation. Wait 5-10 days before starting to exfoliate, and then use a dry body brush or loofah sponge daily to gently exfoliate and remove dead skin. We also offer products to help prevent and treat ingrown hairs.

How long does it last?

Waxing results typically last 2-3 weeks, depending on your hair growth. With regular waxing, you'll notice finer hair regrowth. We recommend waxing every 4-5 weeks for best results. Avoid shaving between waxes, as it thickens hair roots and can lead to more pain and ingrown hairs. For optimal results, try waxing consistently for 3-4 months without shaving, and you'll see incredible benefits!

Will my hair grow back thicker after waxing?

No, waxing will not make your hair grow back thicker! This is a common myth. Waxing removes hair from the root, and over time, regular waxing can actually weaken hair follicles, resulting in finer hair growth. Shaving, on the other hand, can make hair feel thicker because it only cuts the hair at the surface, leading to stubbly regrowth. Your hair growth, texture, and color are determined by genetics and hormones, not waxing.

Reactions and what to expect

It’s common to experience redness, sensitivity, or small bumps—especially on the face, bikini, back, or chest—for 1–2 days after waxing. Some clients may also notice whiteheads, which are a normal response as your skin adjusts. To soothe and prevent breakouts, we recommend using antibacterial body wash, and applying a calming lotion to hydrate and protect the skin. We’ll go over all your aftercare steps during your visit and the recommended products so you’ll know exactly what to use and how to care for your skin at home. Everyone’s skin reacts differently—but with each session, irritation tends to decrease and results get smoother!

Post-Wax Care

For the next 24-48 hours, avoid:

  • Hot tubs, steam rooms, or hot showers (use lukewarm water instead)

  • Sunbathing, sunbeds, or swimming (pool/ocean)

  • Spray body tanning

  • Exercise, gym, hot yoga, or anything that causes excessive sweating

  • Tight clothing that can cause friction and prevent skin from breathing

  • Intimacy after a Brazilian, back, or chest wax until your skin adjusts

Apply the recommended soothing products to protect your skin. Do not shave or trim the area you waxed—it'll disrupt the process and make the hair grow thicker again. After 2-3 sessions, hair growth will be softer and finer.
